EDDIE GRIFFIN “Hall Of Fame” tee
This Friday Art History 101 will be releasing the Eddie Griffin “Hall of Fame” tee. This one is special for us here at Art History because of the fact “Jay P’, the owner of Art History went to High School with Eddie. In high school Eddie lead the Roman Catholic “Cahillites” to a Championship in 2000. Shortly after Eddie was scouted by many colleges while in high school and made a decision to go to Seton Hall. He played at Seton Hall for a year and then decided to go pro. He was drafted in the 1st round, 7th overall pick by New Jersey Nets in 2001. Eddie played in the NBA up until 2007. He played for the Houston Rockets as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sadly Eddie died as a result of a car crash on August 17, 2007 in Houston.
Reminiscing back to “good ole high school days” Jay Pross expresses how “Eddie was extremely talented. Even in high school we knew he would make it to the NBA. I remember Eddie in high school being down to earth with a great sense of humor. I’m happy that he is finally being inducted in to Roman Cathlic’s “Hall Of Fame”. It is well deserved and overdue in my mind. Eddie story and legacy will live on for a long time and I am grateful to have known Ed and also to be in position to help spread Eddie’s legacy and story. Fly High Champ!!!”
